How to: iOS 4.3.2

I updated my iPhone to iOS 4.3.2 (from 4.0.1) just last night, so far so good. What I saw first in under the Settings>General was the Multitasking Gestures.

I recommend to use the Pwned DFU mode in updating your iDevice so that you won't encounter errors like what i had.

Fixing Firewire in Windows7

After you installed your Windows7 in your system, you assume that all are running smoothly... until one day you noticed that transferring files from your Firewire port (also known as IEEE 1394) takes forever!  Just like mine.

 

Using Raid1 in Windows

RAID1 mirroring is an arrangement of hard disks that creates an exact copy (or mirror) of a set of data on two or more disks. This is useful when read performance or reliability are more important than data storage capacity.

RAID1, for example, writes two copies of the data simultaneously on two separate drives. This is called fault tolerant because if one of the mirrored drives suffers a mechanical failure (e.g. spindle failure) or does not respond, the remaining drive will continue to function. The RAID 1 configuration is performed either by a hardware RAID controller… or performed in software. It is suited to applications requiring high fault tolerance at a low cost and where a duplicated set of data is more secure than using parity. RAID 1 is popular for accounting and other financial data. It is also commonly used for small database systems, enterprise servers, and home PCs where a fairly inexpensive fault tolerance is required.

Unlocking iPhone 3GS iOS 4.2.1 with Baseband 5.14/15

Last week I had experienced unlocking iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.2.1, Baseband 5.14. For now, the only solution you can unlock is update the Baseband to 6.15. And when you update to 6.15 you can’t downgrade this baseband to stock, meaning you lose your warranty, since apple will know that you’ve been jailbroken. (I warned you…)

The UltraSnow 1.2 unlock does not support the 4.1 or 4.2.1 baseband that comes with those iPhones. The only way to unlock them is to update them to iPad’s 3.2.2 baseband 06.15 which is fully compatible.
